Uone Reimagines Jim Morrison’s Final Poetry Recordings with Two Unreleased Tracks

On December 8, 1970 — Jim Morrison’s 27th birthday — the legendary frontman of The Doors stepped into The Village Recorder in West Los Angeles to capture what would become his final poetry recordings. Now, over half a century later, these rare words resurface in a bold new form.Australian producer and DJ Uone breathes new life into Morrison’s voice with two unreleased tracks:

Politics of Ecstasy — A psychedelic western surf-rock fever dream — Morrison’s words ride shotgun through a desert of echoing guitars and hypnotic rhythms. Uone fuses raw poetry with cosmic swagger, pulling Morrison’s voice into a kaleidoscopic soundscape built for twilight journeys and endless horizons.

Listen to the Children Talk — A thundering deep-house roller infused with rock grit and hypnotic drive. Morrison’s voice cuts through rolling basslines and tribal percussion, carrying a message both timeless and unsettling. Uone reshapes the lost recording into a dance-floor incantation, part ritual, part rave, entirely alive.

This project carries a deeply personal connection. In 2018, Morrison’s nephew Sefton gifted the original poetry recordings to Uone after being inspired by his sets and artistic vision. The result is a transformative fusion of timeless words and future-forward soundscapes.

With The Collected Works of Jim Morrison (a nearly 600-page anthology of his writings) cementing his legacy, this release reimagines Morrison’s voice in a way never heard before — bridging generations of rock, poetry, and electronic music.
